Happy Holidays!!!

So it's the middle of the night...Abbie is SOUND asleep and Terry is standing at Best Buy...crazy, huh???
Just wanted to wish Everyone a very Happy and Blessed Holiday Season!! I will update with photos as soon as I can...

So...here is the tv that TL came home with...it will be perfect for our living room, hopefully!!!

He's wanted a new tv for a long time...and after much discussion (you have NO IDEA how much...) He waited in line for the black friday deals and what do you know...he got it!
Now, he's off to work for an 8+ hour day...
Abbie and I are going to have an easy day, I guess...I may work for awhile since Abbie is more than likely headed to Gigi's again.
Have a great weekend, everyone! I'll try to post again soon!

Glad that's over!!

Abbie did great today during her procedure. She didn't want to drink the "juice"...so that took some convincing...but the nurses did a great job. We were put in a little room where she could "veg" out and of course, she only wanted Gigi (the most wonderful person in the world!). After about 45 minutes or so (I lost track of time)...they came and took her back. She got to ride in a wheel chair (just like her DanDaddy's) and she went back without any trouble at all! They came out every so often to give updates.

She talked through the whole thing. She had to be wrapped up for her safety-which I TOTALLY understand. When we got back there to her though-she got set in her mind that she was going with Gigi-and it was on. Not that Mar wouldn't take her...but she had a doctor's appointment and several things to do today...so planning just wasn't good on our part.
To make a long story short-for over an hour...from the time that I got her in the van to the time we got home...she was SCREAMING AT THE TOP OF HER LUNGS and throwing anything she could get her hands on towards my head! TL and Mar called to check on me a few times...and they got to experience how "wonderful" her mood was! YOU HAVE NO IDEA!!! She was mad at the world...but I had to keep reminding myself (as Mar did too) that it was just the medicine (she will NOT have that anesthesia again as long as I can help it!!).
We got home and she had some juice...watched some SPROUT (her most favorite TV channel) and took a nap. She woke up and immediately asked for Gigi so we went over so that Mar could help me with the demon child that I had brought home from the doctor!!! Bless her heart, she went through several roller coasters of emotions while we were there...but mainly she was just terribly GRUMPY!!! At one point, Abbie was having one of her "fits" and I asked Martha if she remembered the "sweet precious angel" that she used to have!! LOL...not any more!
Mar ended up getting her and Leacie outside and they played in the leaves which Abbie has not been able to do all season! They had a great time. I took her to McDonald's (along with the 2 Disney princess toothbrushes, new t-shirt, bracelets, and stickers...today at the doc, Abbie got "McDonald's money"...so we went and she had dinner. I let her play in the play land (which I never do!!) and she seemed to have a great time. We came home (TL brought take-out home for the 2 of us) and Abbie had a bath and went to bed...
Hopefully, she won't remember any of this in the morning...
I'm off to watch Dancing with the stars...
Have a great evening! Enjoy the pics that Mar shot while the girls were playing outside...

Dreading today...

So...today Abbie goes to the dentist to get some work done on her mouth. They have to sedate her which is not fun at all! She has been sedated 2 times in the past...one for her tubes and one for her eeg test in the hospital a few years ago. Bless her heart...they gave her the same stuff both times, and she had 2 very different reactions. The first time, she was given the medicine and fell peacefully asleep and the next time, she took hours to settle down. I'm praying that today, she goes fast asleep so that I don't have to see my baby suffer.

Of course, TL has to work...so Mar is going with me. She was with us the 2nd time in the hosptial and saw how horrible it was to hold Abbie down as she was litterally thrashing around for 1.5 hours straight!

Just say a prayer for Abbie to be at peace...and that Dr. Ryan can do what he needs to do and be done!! :-)
Have a great Veterans day, everyone!

Here are some pics from the EEG day...

Sleeping the rest of the medicine off peacefully at home.

Feeling Renewed!!!!

Well after getting 24 hours of peace and quiet...the gang's all here. Abbie and TL came home with big hugs and kisses...as if we had been separated for days. They seemed to have a great time at NahNah's house.
Now, TL has gone to the store for food to get us through the week, and Abbie has gotten into her bed watching Hannah Montana...
Ahhh...I have to admit...I missed them and am glad to have everything back to "normal"...
Well-Mommy's duties are calling...laundry, breakfasts and lunches need to be packed...ect.
Have a great week everyone!

Photo Update

I have gotten several requests to post some pics on here so...here are a few from the last few weeks...ENJOY!

Abbie getting ready to go Trick-Or-Treating with her Building Blocks Youth Group!

She was sporting her new "big girl" haircut! She LOVES for Angela to straighten her hair...It's just precious!

Well, there's a couple...hopefully I can post a few more tomorrow!

Have a great day!

Happy Saturday Everyone-
It's a beautiful fall day outside. Abbie and I are about to get ready and run some errands. Then we are going to have lunch with Grandpa. Last night we met Aunt Courtney at the park and had a great time. We ended our afternoon with dinner at IHOP!!! YUMMY. It's so wonderful to see what a beautiful young girl she is becoming. She is USUALLY so kind to other kids and makes friends very easily! (Just like her daddy!!!)
Tonight though, I really can not wait for. You see, for weeks now...Terry and Abbie have been talking about a "camping trip". Neither one of them have EVER been camping mind you...so I would have loved for this plan to have come to life!!! To be honest, I'm not quite sure where the conversation came from...but they went so far as to shop for tents/sleeping bags/ect. The origional plan was to go to Gigi's house (the one they are not living in at the moment) and camp in the front yard. That way, if they HAD to go inside...they could. Then it turned into a trip with Aunt Leacie...so the location switched to NahNah's house. Well...it is NOVEMBER afterall, so Terry had the bright idea to "camp" inside. So-tonight Terry, Leacie, and Abbie will "camp" in Leacie's room at NahNah's house and I will have OUR house all to myself! I have not spent the night ALONE since I was pregnant...that was a LONG TIME AGO!!!!!!!!
I can't tell you how refreshing it is to know that I will have 12+ hours to do whatever I want...WHEN I WANT!! Lots of people have asked what my plans are...and to be honest...I have no idea. I might just sit and listen to the peaceful quiet of NOTHING!!! :-) Don't get me wrong-I love Abbie and TL more than anything...but sometimes, you just need peace!
So-I'm off to spend the day with Abbie...I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend!!

Hoopla!!

We had a wonderful Halloween. It actually was almost a week long celebration! Abbie started off on Sunday the 26th going trick or treating around a local retirement center with her little youth group from Church. She had a great time and got some candy. On Friday though, the daycare that she goes to took the kids around the High School and Abbie came home with more candy than ANY little girl needs! It was a plastic grocery bag (doubled so that it did break) and another big canvas bag that they had decorated during school. That day, we had been invited to HOOPLA (a Halloween alternative at Biltmore Baptist) which included about 10 giant inflatables, 70+ games, free food, a hay ride, and lots of animals. Abbie and I had a wonderful time (TL was working the LAST TCR home football game...so he couldn't join us!)
It was great to see Abbie enjoy herself so much. I can't wait to go back next year!
